Of the Cup, on a poor pitch, teenagers
Made up the team, Covid has done the rounds
Of Derby’s squad, our first team were not there
Even Wayne Rooney, famous footballer
Now our manager, wasn’t there to lead
Out we went to the team from Lancashire
At least the team can focus on the need
To escape relegation to the third
Division (calling it the first ain’t sound!)
Worst season since N Clough was manager
So many disappointing seasons, could
Not see things immediately getting better
Despite our history and modern ground
