I think I might, otherwise some might say
I’m not being nice enough, though parenting
Hardly applies now that he’s swift heading
Towards his mid-thirties. He hasn’t tried
Very hard given his age to get in
To the spirit of Christmas or abide
By birthday expectations or provide
Sincere good wishes, gifts on my birthday
No effort or money was forthcoming
At times it can come across as just snide
Quite tired though and tempted to just lay
Down a while, listen to podcasts, snoring 😃
