5619 - Friday afternoon - I think

Had a good week at work but still desperate 

To finish and start straightaway on beer 

Popped to Sainsbury’s at lunchtime, fleet of foot 

Keen to start booze, the point of speed was clear 

Still answered emails and then disappeared 

To neck beer on the balcony, then back 

Again, messaging too til almost four

Then back outside, five beers went down my neck 

And when all gone I went out for a walk

It was freezing out, so I kept it short 

Walking near my office - busy round there 

Even though it must have been six o’clock

Maybe later. Some sausages to eat 

Early bed, but broken sleep. Read later
