3626 - Sun and hair

It's hot in here, these short-lived summer nights
At four o'clock, hastened to Spinningfields
To 'Mr' hairdressers to have highlights
I had backtracked from full hair dye, for squeals
Of horror from my daughter, Jo - appeals
That wrenched my heart, and in the morning when
I awoke, I repented of my feels
And agreed to downgrade - no blond locks. Then
Once sat in the black chair, a discussion
With Lisa changed my mind. My hair's too white
To have grey or white highlights, too concealed
And barely worth it they'd be, and so on
With the blond dye. We both waited for quite
A while, then washed it off, which then revealed...
