Friday seems long ago when Sunday comes
So let’s try to recall its main events
It was a fairly pleasant day, the sun’s
Warmth on my balcony some recompense
For recent cold spells against the season’s
Expectations, as in those leaves, yellow
Already in mid-July. Though the fun’s
On hold, and everyone’s bursting to go
Out and about, this cool weather must slow
Unwise mass gatherings, though in people’s homes
Smaller scale indoor parties cause offence
To those trying to follow rules or show
Caution, to slow the spread of deadly germs
But mental health suffers not seeing friends
