A hot sticky day, hot evening playing
The uke once more, it's my main joy right now
I can play most anything, rehearsing
Not necessary, and that is just how
I've always dreamed it should be, effort low
Enjoyment high, a form of cool magic
Which I can enjoy, and which still allows
Others enjoyment, a seeming psychic
Connection to their souls through live music
Fought off the habitual reflex to drink
Booze out of boredom when playing was through
Now listening to Fat White Family pick
Through the debris, a mainly low-fi thing
On Vit B1 and Marmite til France, now
