Worked til 3 at the office, then shopping
For last-minute Christmas stuff in Sainsburys
Once home, scissors, Sellotape, and wrapping
Then into the hired Hyundai (black), breezed
Down to collect J, foggy motorways
To Greasby, oft-travelled roads to Grandma's
Massive portions of fish and chips were ate
Good chat with the old lady, coke and sweets
A bit of Graham Norton, not too late
Retiring to our single beds, so great
To have such an easy time. Mum's going
To Robin's for Christmas, his girlfriend Liz
Good to catch up, poor Mum worries this date
Won't recur too many more times coming
