I felt sorry for Josie yesterday
Closing her door with a tear in her eye
Her mum was in pyjamas, was too shy
To show herself, hid behind the door - why?
Also, I felt she went home too early
Hadn't had enough fun at Christmas, so
I rang her (waking her up), said that we
Could make up for her disappointment, go
Into Manchester, what she likes to do
And then spend more time back in Vera's flat
And play a football quiz I bought for Louis
And see more of Lola the Cat, mad-eyed
Funny feline. Hopefully cheered up, new
Hope inside, think it worked. Ending the day
Watching Derby go top, guitar, whisky!
