Was looking forward to a good night out
A pop quiz at Fred's, Levenshulme, but no
Due to the one-day train strike, it's kaput
Walked to Piccadilly but it's no-go
And so for the quiz, I am a no-show
Shame, wanted to meet new faces and that...
Want fun after the Jenny fiasco
So I'm back home, a clean night in, regrets
Only a few, cos this week, more nights out
To look forward to, I have not much doubt
Bit more of new material practice, now
Plus I can choose jokes for tomorrow night
From my trusty joke book, and have a bite
To eat, and matcha tea. Healthy hero!
