It’s time to shake things up. I’d like to sell
My flat but I would need a new mortgage
I’m sick of people hearing through my wall
It stops me doing videos, can’t engage
My voice, singing or speaking, feeling caged
Jealous of all those with a detached house
That’s what I need. A small one, but purchased
Outright or mainly paid off. It’s no use
Though til I’ve paid this one off. Meanwhile, mused
Today on dating again. That would help
Sort myself out a bit, start a new stage
Of life’s journey. It could keep me amused
A numbers game, a goal, love? Who can tell?
Why not? A partner is an advantage
